Who we are
Out Of The Box LA is run by an LA family, and we're the editors. We spend our weekends exploring new neighborhoods, chasing down food pop-ups and wandering museum openings, looking for the corners of LA most calendars skip.
We also have a real soft spot for the local EDM and dance music scene. Warehouse raves and underground DJ sets often never make it onto a mainstream events page, and helping you find them is part of why this site exists.
How listings are made
Most listings are drafted by software using an AI model from the event's own sources, checked by automated rules, and published without a person reading each one. Dates, prices and venues can change, so confirm them with the organizer or ticket seller before you buy.
Our blog is different. We write those posts by hand.
If you spot a mistake in a listing, email us and we'll take a look.
