Where I Could Take Out Of The Box LA Next
This site started as a side project out of love for Los Angeles. Here are the ideas I keep thinking about for where it could go next.

We started this site as a side project, out of our love for Los Angeles and Southern California in general. It took off more than I expected, and since then all of my free time has gone into new features and new ideas for it.
I thought it might be interesting to share where my head is at. These are dreams and ideas, not promises, and none of them has a date on it.
A ticketing platform
This is the big one. I'd start by giving vendors, promoters and really anyone the ability to create and manage ticketing for their own events, right here on the site.
Full artist and venue listings
We already have venue profiles and artist pages for EDM and concerts. I want to keep building those until they're full-featured listings for EDM and concert artists and for venues across Los Angeles.
My LA bucket list
There's a long list of things in LA I want to visit myself. I'd like to turn it into a real to-do list on the site, then go to each place, write more about it and share it here.
A forum and comments
Today you can read the site, but you can't talk to anyone on it. I'd like to add a forum with chat, comments on events and other ways to communicate. What I'm after is more connection between people in the LA area.
More sports, with less noise
I've honestly thought about dropping sports altogether. There are so many sports events in LA that I wasn't sure how to do it well. Lately I've been thinking the opposite: there could be a way to group them better, cut the noise and make this a more interesting place to find something sports related.
A weekly newsletter
Further down the road, I'm considering a weekly newsletter that sums up the best events coming in the week ahead.
Neighborhood history and a directory
I'm also working on neighborhood history and a directory for things to do and points of interest, to go beyond the neighborhood pages we have today.
If one of these is the one you'd use, tell me. The address is hello@otbla.com .
