Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This page lists exactly what this site sets in your browser: nothing more, nothing less.
What we use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Category | Duration | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
otbla-consent | Out Of The Box LA | Browser storage (localStorage) | Remembers your analytics choice | Strictly necessary | 12 months, then asks again | No |
_ga | Google Analytics | First-party cookie | Distinguishes visitors | Analytics | 2 years | Yes |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | First-party cookie | Keeps session state | Analytics | 2 years | Yes |
Read-only note: if your browser already holds a pref-theme value from an earlier version of this site, we read it to choose light or dark mode. We never set or update it ourselves.
The _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies, and any advertising cookies above, are only ever set after you accept analytics (or advertising, once enabled). See our Privacy Policy for what they're used for.
Changing your choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page, or here:
. Changing your choice takes effect immediately, without reloading the page. Rejecting analytics after previously accepting it removes _ga and _ga_<container-id> from your browser.
Clearing cookies yourself
You can also clear cookies directly from your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data
