How event listings are made
Most event listings are drafted with AI tooling and published automatically once they pass our automated checks, so a person doesn't read each one before it goes live. A listing that fails a check waits as a draft until an editor reviews it. A "Reviewed by" label appears only on a post the site's owner has read.
Where the details come from
Listings start from event sources such as ticket sellers, venues and listing sites. Each event page credits where its details came from, on the Source line of its event details.
Before a listing goes live, our automated checks compare its date, venue and event link with what the source gave us. When we already know a venue, its name and address come from our own venue records, so they can read a little differently from the source.
Details can change after a page goes up, and a source can get them wrong. Confirm the date, time and price with the organizer or ticket seller before you buy. Our Terms of Use say the same.
Blog posts, gems and profiles
We write the posts on our blog by hand, and we choose the gem picks ourselves. Venue and artist profiles stay drafts until we've read and approved them.
Corrections
If something on a page is wrong, email hello@otbla.com with the page's address and what's wrong. We check it against the source and update the page.
No paid placement
Nobody can pay to get an event listed here or placed higher on a page. Sending us an event is free, and how to submit your event explains what to send.
