ComplexCon

ComplexCon is coming to downtown. The Saturday session of the 2026 edition is listed for October 3 at Crypto.com Arena, and if sneakers, streetwear or collectible art figures take up real space in your life (or your closet), this belongs near the top of your list of things happening in Los Angeles that weekend.

What ComplexCon actually is

Complex, the media brand behind a lot of the sneaker and hip-hop coverage you've probably scrolled past, started ComplexCon in 2016. For its first run of years it lived at the Long Beach Convention Center, where the entrance was usually wrapped in giant artist banners. The photo above is from 2017, when Takashi Murakami's grinning flowers covered the whole front of the building and people camped out on folding chairs to get in.

The format mixes a convention floor with a shopping event. Brands set up booths, and a lot of them bring limited releases that only sell on site. Artists and designers do collaborations. There's food and usually some live music or panels on top of that. It's loud and crowded, and the lines for the most hyped drops can start well before doors.

Why the arena matters

Crypto.com Arena is a different kind of room from a convention hall. It's the building where the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Sparks play, on South Figueroa across from L.A. Live. So expect a tighter layout than the old Long Beach setup, with concourse space and a bowl rather than one giant open floor. Plan on reading the event's own map before you go.

Details to confirm before you go

The AllEvents listing for this Saturday session shows a 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM window. That's short for a ComplexCon day, so treat it as a placeholder and double-check times on the official ticketing page before you build a night around it. We couldn't confirm a ticket price from the listing, and we'd rather tell you that than guess. Past editions sold single-day and weekend passes, so it pays to check early.

A few practical notes:

  • Getting there: Pico Station on the A and E Lines is a short walk from the arena. Arena lots and the garages around L.A. Live fill up fast on busy nights, so the train is the easier call.
  • Shopping: Bring a card and a charged phone. Some exclusive drops at past editions ran through mobile queues.
  • Pace yourself: Pick the two or three booths you care about most and hit those first.

If you're building a list of things to do in Los Angeles for early October, this is the one for the sneaker crowd. Browse more things to do in downtown Los Angeles or the full arts and culture calendar to fill in the rest of the weekend.
