Derek Hough's Dance for the Holidays at Cerritos Center

Derek Hough is taking his holiday tour, Dance For The Holidays, to the Cerritos Center on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It's a family show built on Christmas music and serious footwork. If you're already sketching out things to do in Los Angeles once the decorations go up, this is an early entry for the list.

Who's on stage

Most people know Hough from Dancing with the Stars. As a pro he won the Mirrorball Trophy six times, more than anyone else in the franchise, with partners like Jennifer Grey and Bindi Irwin. He moved to the judges' table in 2020.

That's only part of the résumé. He spent four seasons judging NBC's World of Dance next to Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo. He was in NBC's Hairspray Live! in 2016. From 2021 into 2022 he headlined a Las Vegas residency at the Venetian. His official bio lists four Emmy wins for choreography out of 13 nominations. He started dancing at 11 in Salt Lake City.

What the show looks like

The tour's official site describes a run through holiday music, from the old standards to modern pop hits, with each song staged as a dance number for Hough and his company of professional dancers. It credits the choreography direction to Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, the Emmy-winning husband-and-wife team known as NappyTabs. They've choreographed for Jennifer Lopez and for Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour.

Our source listing doesn't publish a running order or a cast list for the Cerritos date, so we won't guess at who else is in the company. Kids are clearly part of the intended crowd. The tour pitches itself as a show for the whole family.

The venue

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts opened in 1993. It's known for its movable seating towers, which let the crew reshape the hall for anything from a concert to a theater production. It sits in Cerritos Towne Center in southeast LA County, close to the Orange County line, with restaurants a short walk from the doors.

Tickets and getting there

• When: Saturday, November 14, 2026. The guide's performance calendar shows an 8:00 PM start. Check your ticket for the final time.
• Where: Cerritos Center, 12700 Center Court Dr, Cerritos.
• Price: From $128 on LA Theatre Guide when we pulled this listing. That site is an independent show guide, not the venue, and it says some of its tickets are resale priced above face value. Compare with the Cerritos Center box office before you buy.
• Getting there: The theater is near the 91 and 605 freeways. There's no Metro rail stop close by, so most people drive.

Plan the rest of your night

This is one of the upcoming events Los Angeles families can put on the calendar now, well before the December rush. Find more shows and exhibits in our arts and culture section, or browse other Things Happening In Los Angeles on the Los Angeles page. Cerritos cools off quickly after dark in mid-November, so bring a coat for the walk back to the car.
