Disney On Ice presents Jump In at Crypto.com Arena

Disney On Ice presents Jump In is coming to Crypto.com Arena the weekend before Christmas, and if you've got kids at home, it's an easy pick from the list of things to do in Los Angeles in December. The tour sets up on the arena floor where the Lakers and Kings usually play, swapping hardwood for a full sheet of ice.

Showtimes

Ticketmaster lists three performances. The first is Friday, December 18 at 7:00 PM. Saturday, December 19 has two more: an 11:00 AM matinee and a 3:00 PM show. That's the whole run in LA, so there's no second weekend to fall back on if you wait too long.

The Saturday morning slot is the one parents of little kids tend to grab. It lands between breakfast and nap time, and you're back out on Figueroa by early afternoon. The Friday night show suits older kids who can stay up past 9.

What to expect

Disney On Ice productions are big ice shows built around Disney characters and songs, performed by professional figure skaters. Expect costumed characters, a lot of lighting cues and plenty of singing along from the seats. Shows usually run with an intermission, which is also when the souvenir and snack lines get long. Plan your bathroom trip early.

The ice keeps the arena on the cool side, even in December. Bring a light jacket for anyone who runs cold. Light-up wands and character merch are usually sold inside at arena prices, so set a budget with the kids before you walk in.

Tickets and getting there

Each showtime has its own Ticketmaster page, linked in the sources on this post. We couldn't confirm pricing ahead of time, so check the listing for current seats. If you're comparing options for LA events this weekend in mid-December, remember that holiday weekends fill fast.

Crypto.com Arena is at 1111 S. Figueroa St. in downtown LA, next to L.A. Live. Parking in the surrounding lots gets pricey on event days. The Metro A and E Lines stop at Pico Station, a short walk from the arena, and 7th St/Metro Center is walkable too. Taking the train with a stroller beats circling for a spot.

It's a good one to pair with a holiday walk around L.A. Live afterward. For more ideas, browse our arts and culture listings or see what else is on in Downtown LA. We keep adding upcoming events Los Angeles families can plan around, from ice shows to stage plays.
