Hayley Williams at the Hollywood Bowl

Hayley Williams is headed to the Hollywood Bowl on Monday, October 5, and it's one of the bigger shows on the fall calendar. Most people still know her as the voice of Paramore, the band she fronted as a teenager out of Franklin, Tennessee. Her solo records are a different animal, though. They're quieter in places, weirder in others, and a lot more personal. If you've been scrolling through things to do in Los Angeles on a weeknight, this one's worth blocking off.

Who she is now

Williams put out her first solo album, Petals for Armor, in 2020. It traded Paramore's big pop-punk hooks for twitchy, bass-heavy grooves and lyrics about therapy, anger and starting over. Flowers for Vases / descansos followed a year later, a spare record she mostly played by herself at home. Her 2025 album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, went a bit wider and a bit funnier while keeping that raw edge.

On stage, expect a set built around the solo material, with a band that can go from slow and moody to loud in a single song. Whether any Paramore songs show up is anyone's guess, and we wouldn't count on it either way.

The venue

The Bowl seats about 17,500 people in a hillside amphitheater tucked into the Cahuenga Pass. The famous shell is the backdrop, and on a clear night you'll see the Hollywood Hills behind you from the upper benches. A fall show is a good bet weather-wise. Evenings cool off fast once the sun drops, so bring a layer.

You can bring your own food up to the terraces and boxes, which makes the pre-show picnic half the fun. Get there early, grab a table in one of the picnic areas and eat before the lights go down.

Practical info and getting there

The AllEvents listing shows a 7pm start. It also lists a second date on Tuesday, October 6, so double check which night your tickets are for. We didn't find a confirmed ticket price, so check the Bowl's box office or your ticket seller before you buy.

The Hollywood Bowl is on North Highland Avenue, just off the 101. The stacked parking lots are notoriously slow to empty after a show. Park & Ride shuttles, or a walk up Highland from the Hollywood/Highland B Line station, usually get you home faster. It's a Monday, so leave extra time for traffic.
