Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and that is exactly when the longtime Rocky Horror shadowcast Sins O' The Flesh takes the stage at the Ford. If you are scanning for things to do in Los Angeles that night, this one pairs the 1975 cult musical with a live cast acting it out in front of the screen.
What to expect
The film follows a newly engaged couple whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. They knock on the door of the strange castle belonging to Dr. Frank-n-Furter, and the night goes sideways from there. At the Ford, the movie is only half the show. Sins O' The Flesh perform in front of the screen, and the audience is invited to shout the traditional callbacks back at the film.
The Ford's listing says the group has performed Rocky Horror every Saturday night since 1987. That is a long run for one cast, and it shows in how the shadowcast works a crowd. Newcomers are welcome. You do not need to know every line, and a fully costumed neighbor will usually help you catch up.
Prop kits will be sold on site before the screening begins, so you can join in on the iconic moments without hunting down rice or newspapers yourself. Check the Ford's own notes on what is allowed before you bring anything of your own.
Good to know
This is part of the Circa: Queer Histories Festival 2026, presented by One Institute. The show is interactive, with ongoing live dialogue from the audience, and the Ford notes the content may contain inappropriate language and is recommended for mature audiences.
Ticket pricing was not listed in the sources we checked, so confirm the current price and availability on the Ford's event page before you go. Doors and the pre-show start earlier than the 8 PM screening, so plan to arrive with time to spare.
Getting there
The Ford sits on Cahuenga Boulevard East, just across the Cahuenga Pass from the Hollywood Bowl, in a canyon setting that suits a spooky night. It is an outdoor venue in late October, so bring a layer for the evening chill. Parking and shuttle details are on the Ford's site. If you are building a Halloween weekend, this is one of the LA events this weekend worth checking alongside the rest of our arts and culture picks.
Dress up if you like. Corsets, fishnets, gold lame and a good wig all fit right in, and so does a plain black outfit with red lipstick. Whatever you wear, come ready to talk back to the screen.
