Ali Wong at Long Beach Terrace Theater

Ali Wong is bringing her stand-up to Long Beach on Saturday, January 23, 2027, and it is already one of the more appealing items on the list of upcoming events in Los Angeles County for the new year. The show is a single night at the Long Beach Terrace Theater, with a 7:00 PM start listed.

Ali Wong built her name on blunt, confessional stand-up about marriage, motherhood and the body, and a run of Netflix specials took that voice well beyond the club circuit. Her act is quick, profane and personal, which is why a theater crowd tends to show up ready to laugh hard and loudly.

When: Saturday, January 23, 2027, 7:00 PM Where: Long Beach Terrace Theater, 300 East Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA Price: Not listed by the sources we checked. See the ticket page for current pricing. Tickets: Through the official Ticketmaster listing

What to Expect

Expect a full evening of stand-up from a headliner who works the room. Ali Wong's sets move fast, jump between topics without much warning, and lean on observational storytelling rather than props or gimmicks. Plan on adult material. Her shows are not aimed at kids, so check the ticket page for any posted age guidance before you buy.

Like most big-name comedy dates, a night like this can draw a crowd from across Southern California, so it pays to arrive early. Doors typically open before showtime, and the lobby fills up quickly.

Getting There

The Terrace Theater sits in downtown Long Beach, a short walk from the waterfront and the Convention Center area. If you are coming from elsewhere in the county, the Metro A Line (Blue) ends a few blocks away in downtown Long Beach, which makes it a reasonable way to skip the 710 on a busy Saturday. Driving is fine too, but give yourself extra time for parking near Ocean Blvd on an event night.

Making a night of it works well here. The downtown core has plenty of restaurants and bars within a few minutes of the venue, so a dinner reservation before the show is easy to pull off. If you are mapping out things to do in Los Angeles this winter, a Long Beach comedy night is a good way to get out of the usual Hollywood and Westside loop.

Tickets and Details

Buy through the official Ticketmaster listing, since resale sites are where prices and fakes tend to show up. The venue listing and the performer's own site are linked in the sources for schedule updates or any change to the date. Dates this far out can shift, so confirm the details again a week before you go.
