Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka takes the stage at The United Theater on Broadway on Saturday, January 30, 2027. For anyone mapping out things to do in Los Angeles once the holidays are behind us, a headline stand-up night in a downtown movie palace is a good one to pencil in early.
Okatsuka is known for a warm, physical and very personal style of stand-up. Family stories, awkward everyday moments and a lot of bounding energy sit side by side in her sets, and a big historic room gives that style space to breathe.
When: Saturday, January 30, 2027 (the start time shown here is a placeholder, confirm it on the ticket page) Where: The United Theater on Broadway, downtown Los Angeles Tickets: Ticketmaster, linked below
What to expect
This is a headline night of stand-up, so plan on a full set from Okatsuka herself. Opening acts, run time and door times are not confirmed in the listing we have, and those details usually get posted closer to the date. Check the Ticketmaster page before you go.
Ticketmaster shows two listings tied to this run at the venue. Compare them and choose the one that matches the date you want, since a popular touring comic can add extra shows when the first one sells well.
Getting there
The United Theater sits on the Broadway theater corridor, a stretch of downtown known for its grand old movie palaces. The Metro B and D lines stop within walking distance, and that is usually the easiest way in on a show night. Garages nearby fill up quickly, so book parking ahead or plan on a rideshare.
Price was not published in the source data we have, so we are not guessing at a number. Look at the official listing for current ticket tiers and fees.
Make a night of it
Downtown has plenty of restaurants and late-night food within a few blocks, so a reservation before the show keeps the evening easy. If you are collecting upcoming events Los Angeles has lined up for the new year, browse our comedy listings for more nights out, or see everything on the events page. Looking for LA events this weekend instead? The listings update as new shows are confirmed.
