Event info via Eventbrite
Most comedy nights happen under a ceiling. This one happens on the sand. Beach House Comedy Club sets up a pop-up stand-up show on a Playa del Rey beach, and on Saturday, November 14, 2026 the headliner is Jay Mohr, the comedian and former Saturday Night Live cast member. It is one of the more unusual things happening in Los Angeles this month.
When: Saturday, November 14, 2026, 8:00 PM Where: 7053 Trolleyway South, Los Angeles, CA 90293 (Playa del Rey beach, venue listed as TBA) Price: $31.72 to $108.55 on Eventbrite Length: About 90 minutes
What to expect
The Beach House Comedy Club series, hosted by Sean Leary and Scott Ibarra, specializes in underground and off-the-beaten-path rooms: beach shows, house shows and anywhere else with enough space for an audience. The flyer promises comedians from Netflix and Comedy Central around Mohr, and Dave Williamson is also on the lineup. Expect a loose, casual crowd rather than a formal club room.
The show is BYOB, so bring your own drinks and snacks. The Original Napoli Pizza will be serving pies on site if you would rather not eat beforehand.
What to bring
This is an outdoor show in November, and the organizers are direct about it: there are no heat lamps, so dress warm. Bring a chair, too. General admission guests are expected to bring their own, and only VIP ticket holders get seating provided. Restrooms are available, and dogs are welcome.
Age rules are worth a look before you buy. The listing says 16 and up with a parent or guardian, and kids are not allowed. Smoking is permitted at the event.
Getting there
The address sits near the Playa del Rey shoreline, west of the Marina and close to Dockweiler State Beach. Parking near the beach can fill up on a weekend night, so leave extra time, and check the Eventbrite page for any arrival details sent to ticket holders closer to the date.
Tickets and the full details are on the Eventbrite listing. If you are scanning upcoming events in Los Angeles for a different kind of Saturday night, a stand-up show with a headliner like Mohr, a beach at dusk and pizza is an easy pick. Browse more shows on our comedy page.
