LA has a stage for almost every size of act, from basement clubs to SoFi Stadium. The city's venues are old enough to have history and varied enough that you can see a different kind of show every night.

Big rooms and old theaters

The Hollywood Bowl and the Greek Theatre are the outdoor favorites in summer. Crypto.com Arena and the Kia Forum take the arena tours. Mid-size touring bands play The Wiltern and the Fonda Theatre, both historic halls with a real balcony.

Clubs and jazz

The Troubadour and the Roxy are the Sunset-era clubs that still book new bands. Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood keeps a nightly schedule, and the LA Phil plays orchestral programs at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Small club shows often sell tickets on the day. Arena dates sell out weeks ahead, so buy early and read the listing for doors time and age limit, since many clubs are 21+.

Want a dance floor instead of a seat? See EDM. The Pasadena and Long Beach guides cover the club circuits outside the city center.
