Barry Hendrixx Live at The Vermont

If you've been looking for something different among the usual Hollywood Events this fall, Barry Hendrixx at The Vermont is worth clearing your Saturday for. The show is on September 26, starts at 10pm, and admission is free.

The Vermont describes it simply: "No long talk. Just come see what happens when we pack the room out." That's a confident pitch, and The Vermont has the room to back it up. The space at 1020 N Vermont Ave sits right in the heart of the neighborhood, a mid-sized venue that gets loud fast when the crowd fills in. Barry Hendrixx is an LA-based artist with a reputation for live performances that lean into energy over spectacle: the kind of set where the room either locks in early or it doesn't, and then it doesn't let go.

Free shows at real venues are increasingly rare among LA concerts, especially ones without a two-drink minimum as the price of entry. This one lists no cover charge. Get there by 10pm if you want a spot near the front; these shows tend to fill before midnight.
