Chanté Moore is bringing her five-octave voice to Blue Note Los Angeles on Tuesday, Dec. 8, for two shows in one night. Who is Chanté Moore

Moore is a singer's singer. The Blue Note listing describes her as a likely favorite of your favorite singer, and the résumé backs that up. She grew up on gospel as a minister's daughter, was signed to Silas Records at 22, and released her debut album Precious in 1992, which went RIAA Gold. Her 1999 album This Moment Is Mine carried "Chanté's Got a Man at Home," a Billboard top ten pop hit.

More recently she became the first American on China's televised singing competition Singer 2024, and the venue says a new project called EVOLve followed, with production from names like Babyface and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Expect a mix of the classics and newer material, delivered with the humor and testimony her sets are known for.
