Four of the most distinctive players working today share one stage in Hollywood this fall. Drummer Chris Dave, blues guitarist Eric Gales, bassist MonoNeon and keyboardist Cory Henry bring a one-night collaboration to Blue Note Los Angeles on Saturday, November 7, 2026. If you are scanning for LA concerts that are a little off the usual path, this one belongs on the list.

When: Saturday, November 7, 2026, with shows at 7 PM and 9:30 PM Where: Blue Note Los Angeles, 6372 W Sunset Blvd., Hollywood Tickets: Sold through TicketWeb, with a separate listing for each show Minimum: The venue page lists a $20 minimum per person

What to expect

The venue describes the night as an explosive power trio experience built around Dave, Gales and MonoNeon, with Cory Henry billed alongside them. Expect a fearless mix of funk, blues, rock, jazz and experimental sound, with a lot of room for improvisation. Nobody here plays it safe, and the format rewards that.

Chris Dave is a Houston-born drummer who has played with D'Angelo, The Robert Glasper Experiment and Adele. His style is loose, deep in the pocket and hard to imitate. Eric Gales has spent more than 30 years and 18 albums pushing blues guitar forward, and he plays with real fire. MonoNeon, the Memphis bassist, is known for wild, melodic playing and a Grammy for his work on Nas's King's Disease. Cory Henry, formerly of Snarky Puppy, is a Grammy-winning keyboardist who has also written and produced for other artists.

Getting there and planning your night

Blue Note sits on Sunset Boulevard, so this is one of the more convenient things happening in Hollywood for a weekend show. It is a supper-club style room, which means seated dinner and drinks are part of the experience, and it helps to arrive early. There are two shows, so check the time on the ticket page before you buy. Price is not published on the sources we checked, so confirm the current ticket cost with TicketWeb.

Sunset traffic gets slow on a Saturday evening. Rideshare or a parking plan sorted ahead of time saves stress, and a late show means a late exit, so plan the ride home too. For anyone who likes live music in Los Angeles, a bill like this does not come around often, and the intimate room keeps you close to the players.
