If your idea of a good night out involves a harpsichord sample colliding with a blast beat, Igorrr's stop at The Novo by Microsoft belongs on your list of LA concerts this fall. The French project built its name by refusing to stay in one genre, and this show is a chance to hear that chaos translated to a real room instead of a pair of headphones.

Who (or what) Igorrr is

Igorrr started as the solo studio project of French producer Gautier Serre, who built tracks out of black metal riffs, breakcore drum programming, baroque harpsichord and accordion, and Balkan folk melodies, then welded the pieces together with almost no regard for whether they "should" work. They do, somehow. Over the last decade the project grew into a full touring band, trading the laptop-only setup for a live lineup that can reproduce the whiplash shifts between orchestral passages and full-on breakcore freakouts. It's one of the more unpredictable bookings among concerts in Los Angeles this season, and that unpredictability is the entire draw.

The venue

The Novo by Microsoft sits inside L.A. Live in downtown LA, a mid-size room with a flexible floor that can go standing-room for a show like this one. It's an easy add to an evening built around things to do in Los Angeles downtown: Crypto.com Arena, the Peacock Theater and a run of bars and restaurants are all within a short walk, so you can make a night of it before or after the set.

Practical info

  • Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026
  • Venue: The Novo by Microsoft, 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles
  • Tickets: Through Ticketmaster; check the listing for current pricing and any age restrictions
  • Getting there: The Metro A and E Lines stop at Pico Station, a few blocks from L.A. Live, which beats fighting for parking near the arena

Downtown LA has no shortage of venues, but a booking this genre-scrambling doesn't come through often, so if experimental metal and live music in Los Angeles is your thing, this is one of the better LA events this weekend worth building a plan around.
