Madison McFerrin & Taylor McFerrin at Blue Note LA

Madison McFerrin and Taylor McFerrin share a bill at Blue Note Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. It is the kind of pairing that earns a spot among the better LA concerts of the month: two musicians from the same family, each with a distinct sound, in a room built for listening.

When: Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Early show at 7:00 PM (doors 5:00 PM), late show at 9:30 PM (doors 9:00 PM) Where: Blue Note Los Angeles, 6372 W Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028 Tickets: Through TicketWeb or the Blue Note's own event page

What to expect

Madison McFerrin is a vocalist known for building songs out of layered, looped voice, often with little more than a mic and her own harmonies. Taylor McFerrin comes from the beat-minded side of jazz and soul, mixing keys, electronics and groove. Hearing them on the same night makes for a good study in how one family can take two very different routes through the same musical tradition.

The Blue Note is a supper-club style venue, so the evening feels closer to dinner and a show than a standing-room gig. If you are looking for live music Los Angeles audiences can actually sit down and hear properly, this is the format.

Practical info

The venue lists a $20 minimum per person with a full bar and dinner menu, and says all seating is first come, first served. Table seating is all ages, while the bar area is 21 and over and turns standing room only once the seats fill. Tickets are non-refundable, with no exchanges, so check your plans before you buy. Two shows are on offer that night, so pick the early set if you want to be home at a reasonable hour.

Getting there

The club sits on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Hollywood, so it pairs easily with dinner nearby before an early set. Plan for Sunset traffic and check the venue's own page for current parking guidance.
