Megadeth, Anthrax and Exodus are on one bill in Los Angeles this Saturday, September 26. That's three bands who were writing fast, angry riffs before most of today's metal crowd was born, and all three are still touring. If your idea of concerts in Los Angeles leans louder than a singer-songwriter at a wine bar, this is your weekend.
The AllEvents listing shows a 6:15pm start. It doesn't name a venue yet, so check the event link before you plan your drive.
Who's playing
Megadeth is a hometown story. Dave Mustaine started the band in Los Angeles in 1983 after he was fired from Metallica, and he's fronted it ever since. The catalog is deep: "Peace Sells," "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due," "Symphony of Destruction," "Hangar 18." Mustaine's snarl hasn't softened much, and the guitar work is still technical enough that people in the crowd will be air-picking along.
Anthrax came out of New York in the early '80s and ended up in the "Big Four" of thrash with Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer. They're the band that mixed thrash with hardcore punk and, once, with Public Enemy. Expect "Caught in a Mosh," "Madhouse" and "Indians," which usually gets the whole floor shouting.
Exodus is Bay Area thrash at its most violent. Kirk Hammett played in an early version of the band before he joined Metallica, and guitarist Gary Holt has kept Exodus running for decades. Songs like "Bonded by Blood" and "Toxic Waltz" were built for circle pits, so plan accordingly if you're standing near the front.
What to expect
Three sets means a long night. Exodus will likely open, and they don't ease into anything. There'll be a pit. Wear shoes you don't mind getting stepped on, bring earplugs (thrash drummers don't play quietly), and hydrate between bands.
The crowd will be a mix of people who saw these bands in the '80s and teenagers who found them on a parent's shelf. It's one of the friendlier LA concerts you'll go to, as long as you pick up whoever falls in the pit.
Practical info
When: Saturday, September 26, 2026, listed at 6:15pm
Where: Los Angeles; venue not named on the listing
Price: Not listed on the source page

The listing is posted by "Ticket Loo," which looks like a ticket seller, not the band or a venue. Before you pay, compare prices against the band's official tour page and the venue's own box office once it's confirmed, since resale markups on a bill like this can be steep. Arrive early for the opener; Exodus sets are short and fast.
