If you are building a list of LA concerts for early November, this one deserves a look. Black broke through as a teenager and has since built a catalog of her own as a pop and dance-leaning artist. A mid-size room like The Fonda keeps the whole thing close and loud.

What to expect

The Fonda is a classic Hollywood theater with a main floor and a balcony, and it hosts a steady run of pop, indie and dance acts. Ticketmaster lists this show as music, with no opener named in the data we have, so check the ticket page for the full bill and any age restriction before you go. Doors typically open earlier than the posted start, and the listing time is the show itself.

For anyone searching for live music Los Angeles has on a weeknight, a Thursday show is a good sign: the crowd tends to be fans who came for the artist, and you can still get to work the next morning.

Getting there

The venue sits on Hollywood Boulevard near Gower Street, so it is walkable from the Hollywood/Vine Metro B Line station. Parking is tight on show nights. Street spots fill early, and nearby lots charge event rates, so arrive with time to spare or take transit or a rideshare. The listing runs to midnight on the calendar, though the actual set will end earlier than that.

Make a night of it

Hollywood has plenty to fill the hours before doors. Grab dinner along Hollywood Boulevard or on Vine, then walk over. If you like keeping tabs on things happening in Hollywood, our Hollywood neighborhood page collects more, and the concerts category lists other shows coming up around the city.

Before you buy

Buy only through the official Ticketmaster link above. Resale listings can run well over face value, and the venue can confirm entry rules, bag policies and accessibility options. Plans change, so recheck the page close to the date for any time or lineup update.
