Who she is

Ghoshal is a playback singer, which means she records the vocals that actresses lip-sync to on screen. She got her break as a teenager with the soundtrack to Devdas in 2002 and has been one of the busiest voices in Indian cinema ever since. Her catalog runs to thousands of recorded songs across more than a dozen languages, and she's collected a shelf of National Film Awards along the way.
