Stones Throw has spent thirty years making records that refuse to sit in one genre, and its anniversary festival saves the strangest, dreamiest bill for last. Sunday, October 18 is Day 3 of the three-day outdoor celebration in Highland Park, with Mild High Club at the top of the flyer.

If you are sorting through LA concerts for the weekend, this is the closing chapter of one of the more meaningful label parties the city has seen in a while.

When: Sunday, October 18, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM Where: 104 N Ave 56, Los Angeles, CA 90042, Highland Park Ages: All ages, in and out privileges until 6 PM, kids 5 and under free Tickets: Through the event page linked below

What to expect

Stones Throw 30 is billed as an outdoor festival with 30 artists across three days, presented by Lodge Room and KCRW, right beside the label's longtime headquarters in Northeast LA. Day 3 is led by Mild High Club, followed by John Carroll Kirby, Egyptian Lover, Lionmilk and Gary Wilson. The rest of the flyer lists Jerry Paper, Bardo Michi, Vex Ruffin and Maylee Todd, with Kyle Mooney named as a special guest.

That mix is the point. Egyptian Lover brings old-school electro and 808 history, John Carroll Kirby leans jazzy and cinematic, and Gary Wilson is one of the great cult outsiders of American pop. Few other days of live music Los Angeles offers this year put those names on the same lawn.

Planning your day

The festival is outdoors and runs from the afternoon into the night, so pack sunscreen, a hat and a layer for after dark. Avenue 56 near Figueroa is a residential part of Highland Park, which means street parking will be tight. Rideshare, a bike or the A Line to a nearby station will make arrival easier.

The in-and-out policy until 6 PM is worth using. Highland Park has plenty of places to eat within walking distance, so you can step out for a meal and come back in. A listed price was not available when this post was written, so check the event page for current ticket details before you go.

Why it matters

Among the many things to do in Los Angeles this fall, a label anniversary rooted in its own neighborhood is a rare one. Sunday is the wind-down day, a little looser and more left-field than the headliner-heavy Saturday, and a fitting way to close out three days of Stones Throw history.
