If you grew up with a burned CD of 2000s alt-rock in the car, this bill was built for you. Switchfoot brings the Forever Now Tour to The Wiltern on Sunday, October 25, with Anberlin along as special guest. Of all the concerts in Los Angeles this fall, it's one of the few where both bands on the poster could headline the room by themselves.
Switchfoot, back on the road
Switchfoot formed in San Diego in the '90s, so an LA date is close to a home game. Jon Foreman still fronts the band, and the hits you know are "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move," both off The Beautiful Letdown. They re-recorded that album in 2023. Forever Now is the new record that follows it, and this tour is the band's run of dates behind it: 38 shows, starting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in mid-September.
Expect the new songs mixed in with the older ones. Switchfoot has been doing this for close to 30 years and plays like it. The sets are tight, loud, and friendly, and Foreman tends to wander toward the crowd at some point in the night.
Anberlin opens
Anberlin came out of Florida in the early 2000s and built a loyal following on big choruses and melodic post-hardcore guitars. "Feel Good Drag" is the one most people will recognize. Plenty of fans will be buying tickets for Anberlin as much as for Switchfoot, so don't treat the opening set as the time to go stand in the merch line.
The room
The Wiltern is a 1931 Art Deco theater at the corner of Wilshire and Western in Koreatown, with that teal-green exterior you can spot from blocks away. The main floor is general admission standing room that slopes down toward the stage, and the balcony has seats. For LA concerts at this size, it's hard to beat: big enough for a real production, small enough that the back of the floor still feels close.
Practical info
When: Sunday, October 25, 2026. Check the Ticketmaster page for door and set times.
Where: The Wiltern, Wilshire Blvd at Western Ave, Koreatown
Tickets: Ticketmaster. Price isn't listed here, so confirm it on the ticket page before you check out.
Getting there is easier than at most LA venues. The Metro D Line stops at Wilshire/Western, basically at the theater's front door. Driving means paid lots nearby or a hunt for street parking on a Sunday night, and Koreatown streets fill up early. Grab dinner first, since you're surrounded by some of the best Korean barbecue in the city.
