System Error: Richard Finger

The Vermont Hollywood is hosting another edition of System Error on Friday, November 6, 2026. This one features DJ Richard Finger, an underground electronic selector known for dense, driving sets that keep the floor moving from first track to last call.

System Error is a recurring night at The Vermont Hollywood, one of the more reliably interesting spots for underground dance music in the neighborhood. The venue sits at 1020 N Vermont Ave in Los Feliz-adjacent Hollywood, a short walk from the Vermont/Santa Monica Red Line stop. It keeps things intimate. No enormous room, no distant stage, just a proper sound system and a crowd that shows up for the music.

Richard Finger has built a following through club nights and DJ residencies across LA concerts and events circuits. His style leans toward the driving end of the electronic spectrum, with enough range across a five-hour set to keep the energy from plateauing. This is the kind of booking that rewards showing up early, before the room fills.

Doors open at 9 PM. The night runs through 2 AM, giving Finger a full block to work with. If you're looking for things to do near me on a Friday night in Hollywood, this is a genuine option that won't feel like a mainstream club night. The Vermont keeps admission accessible, though ticket prices for this date haven't been published as of this writing. Check the venue's event page for updates before you go.

The Vermont Hollywood is a fixture in the neighborhood for this kind of programming. Hollywood events at this venue tend to draw a crowd that knows what it came for, which makes for a better room. Parking on Vermont Ave is possible but limited on weekend nights; the Red Line is the cleaner option if you're coming from further west or south.

For concerts in Los Angeles on the smaller and more focused side, System Error is worth putting on the calendar. It's the kind of night that fits squarely under Things Happening In Hollywood that don't make the Ticketmaster front page.
