Afters @ Tooneyverse (Monday Night)

Most LA clubs call last call before 2am. Tooneyverse opens its doors at 4am, right when that crowd starts looking for somewhere to land. On Sunday, September 21, the venue at 1253 S Los Angeles St Ste C in downtown runs Afters from 4am straight through to 11am, giving the dance floor a seven-hour stretch to work with.

The music runs hip-hop, house, and club. That mix covers a lot of ground, from 808-driven rap cuts to four-on-the-floor grooves and the kind of tracks that work at sunrise just as well as they do at 3am. Whether the room leans heavier into one direction depends on the night, but the format favors dancers who want range.

Entry is $15 and includes a free cocktail. For an after-hours run in downtown, that pricing is reasonable. The venue is a suite-level space, so it runs more intimate than a warehouse or a big box club. You're dancing close to the speakers and close to the other people there, which is typically part of the appeal.

The 1253 S Los Angeles St address puts you in the South Park section of downtown, a few blocks from Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) and within walking distance of the Blue Line and Expo Line stops at Pico. Street parking in that corridor is scattered, so arriving by transit or rideshare saves the search. The neighborhood is active late, especially on weekend nights.
