A Hundred Drums and Zen Selekta at Don Quixote

B-Side Los Angeles is opening a new Face 2 Face run under its Mirror Mode banner, and the first night puts A Hundred Drums across from Zen Selekta at Don Quixote on Saturday, November 7. It is a dubstep and bass music night that fits right into EDM in Los Angeles this fall, with doors at 9pm and music until 2am.

The promoter is calling the pairing the launch of its first Face 2 Face series. A Hundred Drums is B-Side's own founder, and Zen Selekta is the guest she is trading sets with. The two have been touring together on what they call the Girls Wanna Have Fun Tour, so this date reads as a homecoming of sorts rather than a cold pairing.

What to Expect

Face 2 Face means two artists share the floor in alternating blocks instead of one long headline set. The flyer lists several more matchups beneath the main one:

B-Side says it is rebuilding Don Quixote as a 360-degree room with a custom festival-scale stage, its signature HSD sound rig, plenty of lighting and lasers, a curated night market, live painting and art displays. If you want a night out that feels more like a produced event than a standard club booking, this is the kind of thing to put on a list of things to do in Los Angeles in early November.

The Venue

Don Quixote sits at 2811 E Olympic Blvd, just east of downtown. It is a two-level room that has hosted bass and dubstep promoters for years, and it gives a night like this room for the big production the organizers describe.

Getting There

Olympic Boulevard sees steady traffic on a Saturday night, and a 2am finish makes a rideshare the easier choice than hunting for street parking nearby. Allow extra time if you are coming from the Westside.
