Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and Big Gay Party is spending it at Catch One with a costume ball that picks a fight between two pop camps. The pitch from the promoters is "Pick a side. Or don't." Brat on one end, Monster on the other, and a dance floor in between. If you are sorting through LA events this weekend and want the loudest, most dressed-up option on the Mid-City side of town, this one is hard to beat.

When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, 9 PM until late Where: Catch One, 4067 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019 Price: $17.85 to $28.52 on Eventbrite Age: 18+ to party, 21+ to drink Tickets: Eventbrite

What to expect

The flyer lays out the plan plainly: two rooms, 20 DJs, 10 drag queens and a costume contest billed as sexy. The sound is tagged pop, house, tech house and hyper pop, so expect singalong pop edits and club-ready house rather than a festival-style headliner set. The flyer does not list the DJs or queens by name, so treat the lineup as a surprise and go for the format.

The Brat versus Monster theme is the organizing idea. Brat nods to the lime-green, hedonistic pop-club mood of recent years, while Monster points to the theatrical, gothic end of dance-pop. Halloween makes it easy to commit to either one, or to show up in something that belongs to neither camp.

Practical info

Catch One is a longtime Pico Boulevard nightlife name, and the flyer promises two rooms of music. Doors open at 9 PM per the flyer, and the party runs late. The listing's sales window closes at the end of the night, but tiers can sell out beforehand, so buy ahead rather than counting on the door.

Dress for the theme. A costume contest is part of the night, and most of the crowd will be in some version of one. Bring a valid ID: the event is 18+ and you must be 21+ to drink. Street parking around Pico fills up on holiday weekends, so a rideshare is the easier call.

Planning your Halloween

If this is on your shortlist of things to do in Los Angeles on Halloween, check the Eventbrite page for the current ticket tier before you go, since prices step up as the night gets closer. Pair it with an early dinner nearby, then head over for the 9 PM start. You can browse more dance nights on the EDM events page and the this weekend page for other Halloween picks.
