Cars the Movie Trivia at Alex's Bar in Long Beach

Alex's Bar is turning a Wednesday night into a pit stop at Radiator Springs. The Long Beach venue hosts Cars the Movie Trivia on November 11, and the flyer promises questions about Lightning McQueen, Mater and the rest of the Route 66 crowd. If you have seen the Pixar movie enough times to quote it, this is your room. It also counts among the more offbeat things to do in Los Angeles County this month.

When: Wednesday, November 11, 2026, 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM on the DICE listing Where: Alex's Bar, 2913 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804 Price: Free Tickets: Reserve through DICE

What to expect

The event flyer lists the trivia itself at 6:30 PM and says it is free to watch. Anyone who wants to play puts in $5 cash, so bring a few bills with you. Teams are the usual bar trivia arrangement: gather a few friends, argue over answers and see who remembers the name of the town's judge or the details of the big race.

The flyer also advertises Mater's Honky Tonk Heaven After Party at 9:00 PM. It does not spell out what the after party involves, so treat it as a loose, drink-in-hand follow-up to the quiz rather than a second ticketed show. Ask the staff at the bar when you arrive.

This is not a club night, even though the listing sits in the nightlife section of DICE. Think movie fans, a bar tab and a few laughs, not a DJ booth and a late set.

Getting there

Alex's Bar sits on Anaheim Street on the east side of Long Beach, in a part of town known for its dive bars and live music rooms. Street parking is the usual way to arrive, so allow a few extra minutes on a weekday evening. A rideshare is easier if you plan to stay for the after party.

Kids' movie trivia at a bar is still a bar night, so expect an adult crowd. The listing does not give an age limit, so check with the venue before you bring anyone under 21.
