Insomniac Presents DEVAULT at the Hollywood Palladium

DEVAULT headlines the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, November 27, the night after Thanksgiving, with Insomniac presenting. The show runs from 8pm to 1:30am and it's 18 and over. The red-and-black flyer is a throwback: it bills "special guest" Egyptian Lover, the LA electro pioneer, and "support" from Blank Sense, over a cartoon figure pointing at the sky.

Who's playing

DEVAULT is a producer whose sound runs from bass-heavy house to warm, melodic electronic tracks. He's been one of the steadiest risers in the Insomniac orbit. Having Egyptian Lover on the bill is a real nod to LA history. His 80s records like "Egypt, Egypt" helped build the West Coast electro and hip-hop scene, and he still plays out with his 808. Blank Sense opens. Insomniac simply tags the show "electronic," but the bill suggests a night that moves from electro and funk into modern house.

Tickets

Insomniac's event page links to Ticketmaster for tickets. Live Nation's listing also offers parking and a "Vinyl Room Access" upgrade from 6:30pm. That's an add-on, not a concert ticket, so you still need admission. We couldn't confirm a face value on September 24, so check Ticketmaster for current prices and fees before you buy.

The venue

The Hollywood Palladium is at 6215 Sunset Boulevard. The Metro B Line's Hollywood/Vine stop is a few blocks away, and with a 1:30am finish, transit home won't work for most people, so plan a ride. The Palladium's floor is general admission standing room with a small balcony.

Thanksgiving weekend is packed: Time Warp Los Angeles opens the same afternoon at Ace*Mission Studios, and Ray Volpe takes over The Torch on Saturday. For more EDM in LA, see the EDM category page and the Hollywood listings.
