Don Diablo headlines Sound Nightclub on Thursday, September 24, in a night billed as Don Diablo x SPIN Magazine. It's a midweek slot, which makes it one of the odder LA EDM events on this week's calendar: a headliner of Don Diablo's size in a small Hollywood club on a school night. Doors are at 10 PM and the night wraps at 2:30 AM.

What's different about this one

The SPIN tie-in isn't just a logo on the flyer. According to the DICE listing, every ticket includes a limited-edition, 124-page Don Diablo x SPIN minimag. So you walk out with something printed in your hand, which is rare for a club night. Grab it at the door and keep it somewhere dry, because you'll be dancing.

The flyer also lists Robot Sunrise, Seduza and Steph Krow on the bill under Diablo. Set times aren't posted, so if you care about catching the support, arrive near doors.

Musically, the listing tags the night house and EDM. Sound is a compact room with the booth close to the floor, so a headliner here plays to a few hundred people rather than a field. That closeness is the point of going.

Tickets and entry

Tickets are $33.99 on DICE, a single price tier. DICE lists the event as 21+, so bring a real ID. For table reservations, the listing points you to reservations@soundnightclub.com. General on-sale opened September 17 after a short presale window, so check DICE before you head out rather than counting on the door.

Getting there

Sound is at 1642 N Las Palmas Ave, just north of Hollywood Boulevard. The Hollywood/Highland B Line station is roughly a quarter kilometer west, an easy walk. Parking around Las Palmas on a weeknight is still tight, so Metro or a rideshare drop is simpler.

It's also the first of two Sound nights we're covering this week; the club switches to progressive and afro house on Friday. For more things happening in Hollywood, browse the Hollywood page, and the full EDM calendar covers the rest of the city.
