French 79: Close To The Giants at The Regent Theater

French 79 brings the Close To The Giants show to The Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, May 7, 2027. It is an early entry on the calendar for anyone planning ahead for spring, and the kind of date that belongs on a list of EDM in Los Angeles worth locking in before it sells through.

When: Friday, May 7, 2027, 8:00 PM Where: The Regent Theater, 448 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90013 Tickets: Through Ticketmaster (price not listed at publication)

What to expect

French 79 is the electronic project built around synth-driven, melodic songwriting, and Close To The Giants is the name this tour date goes by. The listing does not publish a full bill, so treat this as a headline night for the act itself and check the ticket page for any support slots closer to the date.

The Regent is a mid-sized room with a standing floor, which suits melodic electronic music well. You are close to the stage, the sound is direct, and the crowd tends to be there for the music rather than the scene. If you are mapping out things to do in Los Angeles in spring 2027, this is a good anchor for an evening.

Getting there

The Regent sits on Main Street in the Historic Core of Downtown LA, a short walk from several Metro stops and plenty of nearby parking garages. Rideshare drop-off along Main is easy, and the surrounding blocks have restaurants and bars if you want to eat before doors.

• Plan to arrive early, since downtown streets around the venue get busy on weekend nights.
• Check the Ticketmaster page for the age policy and door times before you go.
• Tickets are sold through the official Ticketmaster listing linked on this page.

Plan ahead

Because the show is months away, details such as doors, support acts and ticket tiers may shift. The Ticketmaster listing is the source to trust for the final word. For more Downtown shows and other nights around town, browse the EDM category and the Downtown neighborhood page.
