Stereo Punks is putting two UK names on one bill in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, October 10, and one of them is playing his first show in the United States. GEE LEE headlines alongside Jack Marlow, with the night running 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. For anyone tracking EDM in Los Angeles this month, this is a house and garage night worth knowing about.
Who is playing
GEE LEE built a career out of a bootleg. "Coke & Rum" started as an underground edit and went on to go Silver certified with more than 185 million streams. "Fast Life," with India Shan, has passed 64 million. He has over two million monthly listeners, support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and KISS FM, and has sold out rooms across Europe and Australia.
Jack Marlow started out in Liverpool making trap and hip hop beats. George Fitzgerald's "Child" pulled him toward house and UK garage, and he kept his vocal instinct on the way. "East Side" with Jaish has passed 4.5 million streams, and he has put out records on FLAT 22 and Disorder Records. He has played Boomtown and a hometown set at Baltic Weekender. October 10 is his first US date. The flyer lists support as TBA.
The details

Getting there
A 2 a.m. finish in downtown means the last Metro trains are gone, so line up a rideshare or a designated driver before you head out. Expect pickup surges right at close. If you plan to drive, wait for the address before choosing parking, and read posted signs so you don't get towed.
