Gryffin brings his live show to Exposition Park on Friday, October 23. Ticketmaster lists a 7pm start, and it's the first of two back-to-back dates: he's back in the same park on Saturday, October 24. If you've been scanning LA EDM events for something outdoors this fall, this one skips the festival grounds and puts a headliner on a lawn a few minutes from downtown.

Who's playing

Gryffin is the stage name of producer Dan Griffith. His music sits on the melodic side of dance music, with bright synths and big pop vocals, and drops that lean toward euphoria rather than aggression. You probably know "Tie Me Down" with Elley Duhé, or "Feel Good," his track with Illenium and Daya. His albums include Gravity and Alive.

He doesn't just stand behind the decks. Gryffin plays guitar and keys on stage and layers live parts over his tracks, so the night lands somewhere between a DJ set and a band show.

The Ticketmaster listing names Gryffin and no one else. A few other ticket sites have posted support acts, but their names don't match from one listing to the next, so check the lineup on your ticket page before you go.

Tickets and entry

Tickets go through the Ticketmaster link on this page. Ticketmaster hadn't published a price we could read when we checked on September 28, so look there for current tiers and fees. Other ticketing listings flag the show as 18 and over. Confirm the age limit on Ticketmaster before you buy, and bring a government ID either way.

Getting there

Exposition Park is at 700 Exposition Park Dr, just south of USC and beside the LA Memorial Coliseum. Songkick's listing puts the stage on the park's South Lawn. The Metro E Line stops at Expo Park/USC station on the park's north side, so the train is the easiest way in and out. If you drive, budget for event parking and extra time, since Friday night traffic around the 110 is slow.

The park stays busy this season. ATLiens play the South Lawn on October 17, and Wooli brings Mammoth Park there on December 5. Next door, Ray Volpe plays The Torch at the Coliseum on November 28. The EDM category page has more EDM Los Angeles shows coming up.
