Julian Fijma at Sound Nightclub

Julian Fijma is booked at Sound Nightclub on Friday, September 18, and the night runs house from the first record to the last. Doors open at 10 PM. The lights come up at 2:30 AM.

The set

Fijma works in house, and that's the whole brief here. No genre-hopping, no five-act bill where you sit through two openers you didn't want. One room, one sound, four and a half hours to build it. If you've been hunting for a proper house night rather than another festival-stage highlight reel, this is the one on the calendar.

Sound is a DJ's room before it's anything else. The booth sits low, the floor is compact, and the system is tuned so you feel the low end in your chest without losing the top of a hi-hat. That layout rewards a DJ who can pace a night. A slow-burning house set that would get lost in a 2,000-cap hall lands properly in a space this size.

Getting there

The club is at 1642 N Las Palmas Ave, half a block off Hollywood Boulevard. Street parking in that stretch is scarce after 9 PM and the signage is strict, so a rideshare drop on Las Palmas or a walk from the Hollywood/Highland Metro B Line station is the easier move. The station is about five minutes away on foot.

Tickets are $36.26 through DICE. Sound sells out house bookings on the night fairly often, so buying ahead beats standing at the door. Bring ID. It's 21+.

If you're mapping out a weekend, this sits in the busiest part of the LA EDM events calendar: Hollywood alone has several rooms running the same night, and the rest of the city's club nights start within an hour of this one.
