Kyle Watson heads to downtown on Friday, October 9, for a headline night at Exchange LA. The venue bills it as Kyle Watson 360°, and doors open at 10pm on Spring Street. If you follow house music in this city, it's one of the LA EDM events worth circling on the October calendar.

Watson is a South African DJ and producer who plays house with a lot of low end in it. His sets tend to stay groovy and bass-forward rather than peak-time loud, which suits a room like Exchange. The 360° tag on the billing is a format Exchange uses for certain shows on its calendar, and it's printed right on the flyer.

Who else is playing

Three support acts are listed on Exchange's event page: TRACE, No Static and Miller. The venue page doesn't publish set times, so plan on getting there early if you want to hear the openers. The event runs from 10pm to 2am according to Exchange's own listing. That's four hours of music split across four names.

Getting in

This one is 21+. Exchange is strict about tickets, too. Its entry guidelines say tickets bought through StubHub, Vivid Seats, Eventbrite or any other reseller won't get you in. The only valid tickets come from TicketWeb (and Tixr for some shows), and your government ID has to match the name on the ticket. Buy through the TicketWeb link and bring the ID you bought with.

Neither the venue page nor our fetch of the ticket page showed a price, so check TicketWeb for the current tiers before you go. Exchange also takes VIP table reservations through its event page if you're coming with a group.

Getting there

Exchange LA is at 618 S Spring St in the old Los Angeles Stock Exchange building, a few blocks from Pershing Square. The Pershing Square Metro station (B and D lines) is the closest rail stop, though trains thin out late, so sort your ride home before last call rather than at 2am on the sidewalk. Street parking downtown on a Friday night is a gamble, and paid lots near Spring and 6th fill up.

If you're building a Friday around this, the rest of the downtown calendar is right there. More EDM Los Angeles picks, from warehouse parties to festival afters, live on the EDM category page.
