Loud Luxury at Academy LA on New Year's Day 2027

The first Friday of 2027 has a dance-floor answer for anyone who wants to skip the quiet recovery day. Loud Luxury, the Canadian house duo behind a run of radio-friendly dance hits, are booked at Academy LA in Hollywood on January 1. If you are mapping out raves in Los Angeles for the new year, this is an early entry worth putting on the calendar.

When: Friday, January 1, 2027 (start time to be confirmed on the ticket page) Where: Academy LA, 6021 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood Tickets: TicketWeb

What to expect

Loud Luxury are a duo, and their sound sits at the melodic, vocal-friendly end of house music. Sets from acts like this tend to lean on big hooks, singalong drops and a steady build rather than a hard techno grind. That suits a room like Academy LA, which describes itself as covered in LED panels, with CO2 jets, lighting rigs and lasers over the dance floor. It is a good fit for anyone who likes EDM in Los Angeles with a bit of pop shine.

The listing does not publish a set time, a price or a supporting lineup that we could confirm, so check the ticket page before you plan your night. Nothing here should be read as a promise of an opener or a door time.

Venue rules worth knowing

Academy LA is a 21+ club, and guests need a valid, physical ID or entry may be refused. The dress code is enforced: no sandals or flip-flops (open-toed heels are fine), no tank tops, and no sportswear such as jerseys or t-shirts. DJ merch is the one exception. The club usually keeps weekend hours of 10 PM to 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, though special event nights are scheduled separately, so the ticket page is the source to trust for this one. See the Academy LA venue guide for more on the room.

Getting there

The club sits on Hollywood Boulevard in the middle of Hollywood, so rideshare is the easy call for a late night. Street parking in the area is tight, and a holiday weekend makes it worse. Plan your ride home before the lights come up, because pickup zones fill quickly once the doors let out.
