Mind Enterprises at The Bellwether

Mind Enterprises plays The Bellwether on Friday, September 25, and it's one of the more melodic dates on this week's electronic calendar. The 19hz listing puts the show at the crossroads of italo disco, electro, synthpop and techno. So expect glossy synth lines and drum machines that owe more to 1980s Milan than to a festival main stage. Showtime is 8 PM.

Two support acts fill out the bill on Live Nation's event page: Fred Fancy and lovetempo. Both are tagged Dance/Electronic there, just like the headliner. Get there when the doors open and you'll catch the whole run instead of walking in mid-set.

The promo photo on the listing matches the music. Two guys in tinted aviators and pastel polos stand against a crushed-velvet purple wall. It reads like a record sleeve from a Riviera summer, and that styling is a decent hint at the mood inside the room.

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster, and 19hz lists them at $39. Ticketmaster fees and dynamic pricing can move that number, so check the checkout page before you commit. Live Nation also sells two add-ons for this date: a Premium Parking pass and access to the Looking Glass Lounge. Both are clearly marked as not concert tickets, so you still need a regular admission ticket to get in.

The Bellwether is at 333 S. Boylston St. on the western edge of downtown. The official parking upgrade is the easiest way to avoid circling for a spot on a Friday night. Rideshare is the other obvious choice if you plan to stay for the whole night.
