There's a quiet energy building around Museo, Long Beach's emerging underground party series, and its third edition, happening Wednesday, September 17 at Que Sera, is the right time to take notice.
The Series
Museo (the name a nod to both the Spanish word for museum and the curatorial care with which it programs its lineups) has built its reputation on choosing venues and DJs with deliberate precision. Each edition reads less like a club night and more like an invitation to spend time with a specific sound. That sound is techno: deep, textured, and patient, the kind that opens slowly over an evening rather than front-loading its energy.
For 003, the lineup is Shay De Castro, heelbite316, and Tattoopudge, three selectors with distinct approaches who have all built followings in the LA and Long Beach underground over the past few years. De Castro brings a melodic sensibility that keeps the floor moving without abandoning the architecture of proper techno. heelbite316 runs harder and denser. Tattoopudge opens things up, likely warming the room for the late-night bloc.
The Venue: Que Sera
Que Sera is one of Long Beach's best smaller rooms for underground dance music. It's not a converted warehouse, it's not a brand-new club trying to feel lived-in, it's a bar and music venue that's actually lived-in, with a room size that rewards the kind of DJ-to-crowd dynamic that makes smaller parties special.
That's the whole point of Museo 003. The names on the flyer aren't stadium techno, they're people who will play to the room they're actually standing in.

Wednesday nights in Long Beach have a reputation for being some of the better underground dance nights in the greater LA area, low tourist traffic, regulars who know what they're there for, and DJs who tend to play freer when they're not worried about headcount. This is the formula Museo is working with.
Getting There
By Car: Long Beach is a 30–35 minute drive from Downtown LA or Silver Lake, highway conditions permitting. Parking in the Que Sera neighborhood (4th Street corridor) is generally straightforward on a weekday evening.
By Metro + Bus: The Metro A Line (Blue) reaches Downtown Long Beach, where connections to the 4th Street area are possible via local bus or a short rideshare.
