On Tuesday, November 3, Zizou turns into a listening room for one of the more interesting reissue projects of the year. In Sheep's Clothing x Zizou present "Past, Present, Future," a listening party built around A La Altura: Visionary Mexican Music, the two-volume compilation from Light in the Attic. It is a quieter pick than a typical club night, and a good one if you want things to do in Los Angeles that center on the music itself.
When: Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7 PM to 11 PM Where: Zizou, 2425 Daly Street, Los Angeles, CA 90031 Price: $17.00 on DICE
What the night is about
The compilation was put together by Mark "Frosty" McNeill of dublab and the LA Phil. Volume 1 covers 1977 to 1999 and Volume 2 covers 1980 to 1997. Both gather Mexican artists who reached for the cosmos in their music, and the listing frames that as a long tradition: the Maya and Aztecs laid out their cities as star maps, and later generations of sculptors, writers, painters and musicians kept up that astral curiosity.
The night is billed as Edition 13 of the series, "Visionary Mexican Music." The idea is simple. You show up, settle in, and hear both volumes played through, plus additional selections chosen by Frosty. The track list on the event page gives a sense of the range, including Jorge Reyes and Antonio Zepeda, Luis Perez, Alquimia, Eblen Macari and Tito. Expect ambient, spiritual and electronic-leaning records more than dancefloor material.
What to expect
Because this is a listening session, plan on four hours of records rather than a set time to arrive for a headliner. The flyer reads 7 to 11 PM, so you can drop in early, grab a drink, and stay as long as the music holds you. The listing names no live performers and no age limit, so check the DICE page before you go if either matters to you.
If you follow DJs and record diggers, this is the kind of event that sits beside the usual EDM in Los Angeles listings without being a rave: slower, more curious, and built around the selector's crate. It also pairs naturally with the city's deep Mexican music scene, which rarely gets a night this focused.
Getting there and tickets
Zizou is at 2425 Daly Street, in the 90031 area northeast of downtown. Tickets are $17.00 through DICE, and the page is the only ticket source we found, so buy there rather than from a reseller. Parking on side streets can fill up on busy nights, so leave a little extra time or share a ride. Among the things happening in Los Angeles this first week of November, it is an easy weeknight plan.
Event details come from the DICE listing and can change, so confirm the time and entry terms on the ticket page before heading out.
