Bassrush presents Ray Volpe at The Torch at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, November 28, Thanksgiving weekend. Insomniac lists the show from 5pm to 11pm and it's 18 and over. The flyer puts a crashed robot at the Coliseum's peristyle gate, under palm trees and Ray Volpe's name in big block letters, which is about the right energy for a Ray Volpe show.

Who is Ray Volpe

Ray Volpe is one of the biggest names in modern dubstep. His tracks are loud, playful and built for crowd reactions, and his "Laserbeam" became one of the most-played drops in bass music. Insomniac tags the show dubstep and lists only Ray Volpe. No support acts were named on the Insomniac page when we checked, so treat any openers as a bonus when they're announced.

Tickets

Tickets are through Ticketmaster, listed as "Bassrush Presents Ray Volpe - Ages 18+ with Valid ID". The Torch's own event page says all tickets are general admission standing room, and it also sells parking. We couldn't confirm a face value on September 24, so check Ticketmaster for current prices and fees before you buy.

The Torch's page lists the event start as 6pm and the end as 11pm, while Insomniac lists 5pm to 11pm. Doors likely open before the music, so plan on arriving around 5pm. The Torch also notes the event is rain or shine, so check the forecast.

The venue

The Torch is the Coliseum's outdoor event space by the peristyle end, at 3911 S. Figueroa Street in Exposition Park. The Metro E Line stops at Expo Park/USC, so taking the train is realistic. With an 11pm finish there should still be trains running, but check the last one on your line before you go.

Bassrush is in the same park a month earlier for ATLiens at Exposition Park. The night before, DEVAULT plays the Palladium, and Time Warp Los Angeles runs both days of the weekend. For more raves in LA, see the EDM category page.
