Tierra de los Muertos: SET Halloween with Lost Miracle

Halloween night has a Day of the Dead theme at this one. SET Underground is bringing Tierra de los Muertos, a party that started in Oaxaca and Mitla and has since opened in Mexico City, to Los Angeles for the first time. The Los Angeles edition is called El Otro Lado, and it runs seven hours inside a warehouse with an open-air patio, so it keeps going after most Halloween parties wrap up at midnight.

Who is playing

Lost Miracle is the joint project of Sébastien Léger and Roy Rosenfeld, built as one act rather than a back-to-back set. The organizers say Léger has played Cercle at the Pyramids of Giza, Coachella and Tomorrowland, and that Rosenfeld has releases on Guy J's Lost & Found. Satori is the live project of Djordje Petrovic, played on flute, synth, keys and drum machine, with nothing sequenced ahead of time. Elysian Moon (live) and Tonic round out the listing.

What to expect

The music stays indoors and on the patio, in the melodic and organic house lane. Expect costumes, marigold-and-skull decor and a long night. The organizers run a Q&A group for ticket buyers, and the event page links to it.

Before you go

The venue is listed only as Los Angeles until 6 PM on the day, so check your ticket email and the SET Underground page that evening. The organizers ask guests to leave backpacks at home and say purses may be checked on the way out. They also warn about phone and wallet thieves targeting LA nightlife, so keep your belongings close. Tickets and table sales are final, with no refunds.
