The night before Thanksgiving usually means a crowded bar near your parents' house. SET Underground has a better idea. On Wednesday, November 25, the promoter hangs a sound system under the arches of the 6th Street Viaduct and books two co-headliners: Patrice Baumel and Armen Miran. It's one of the more interesting LA EDM events on the fall calendar, mostly because of where it happens.
The address is 630 S Anderson St, on the east side of the river where the new viaduct's arches come down to street level. The flyer lists music from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., and the event page shows doors at 9 p.m. It's 21+.
Who's Playing
Patrice Bäumel (spelled Patrice Baumel on most listings) is a Kompakt and Afterlife artist. He built his reputation over years of long, patient nights at Trouw, the Amsterdam club that ran in an old newspaper printing hall until 2015. His sets tend to build slowly and stay dark, the kind of melodic techno that rewards people who arrive early and stay late.
Armen Miran is the local half of the bill. He founded the Hoomidaas label here in Los Angeles, and his recent releases landed on Bedrock and Sol Selectas. Expect deep, hypnotic progressive house with an organic edge. The promoter bills both as playing "at 100%," which reads as full-length sets rather than a quick warm-up and a headline slot.
The Setting
Open air under a bridge is a very different room from a club. Concrete overhead, the skyline off to the west, and the arches lit up above you. It's also November outdoors at 2 a.m., so bring a layer. Nights by the river get colder than you'd guess from a sunny afternoon.
Practical Info
- When: Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Music 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. per the flyer.
- Where: Under the 6th Street Bridge, 630 S Anderson St, Los Angeles.
- Age: 21+.
- Tickets: The AllEvents listing showed tiers from $21.90 up to $95.30 for VIP when we checked, including an early-entry tier and a group rate. Prices climb as tiers sell through, and the organizer says all sales are final.
- Bags: The promoter says backpacks are not allowed and purses may be checked on exit, citing phone and wallet thefts at LA nightlife events.
Driving means street parking in an industrial area, so rideshare is the easier call at 3 a.m. Thursday is a holiday for most people, which is the whole pitch: sleep in, then show up for turkey.
