Remember when every party playlist had a Kesha song, a David Guetta drop and at least one LMFAO moment? Sorry For Party Rocking is built entirely around that stretch. The party lands at Catch One on Friday, September 25, and the brief is simple: pop and EDM from 2010 to 2015, played from 9 PM until 2 AM.

The DICE listing names the catalog it pulls from. Rihanna, Avicii, Nicki Minaj, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Lady Gaga, Pitbull and Icona Pop are all on it, plus T-Pain, Lil Jon and Steve Aoki. Read the fine print, though. This is a tribute dance night, and the organizers say plainly that none of those artists will appear or have anything to do with the event. You're coming for the songs and the crowd singing along, not a surprise guest.

The dress code is "Swag, Y2K," which in practice means shutter shades and neon are fair game. The flyer sets the tone too: slime-pink splashes, a collage of the era's pop stars and a pop-up window asking "R U READY 2 PARTY?" If you want to warm up, the promoters keep an official Spotify playlist linked on the DICE page, and their Instagram (@sorryforpartyrocking) takes song requests.

Tickets are sold through DICE, where they're currently listed at $0.00. The organizers also say you can text "SWAG" to +1 (858) 330-1710 for free tickets and party updates. Pauz Presents is the promoter on the listing.

Catch One sits at 4067 Pico Blvd in Mid-City, a dance club with room for a proper crowd. Friday traffic on Pico can crawl, so leave a little buffer if you're driving in from the Westside or downtown, and plan your ride home before 2 AM rolls around.

For a lighter Friday than the usual techno lineups, this is one of the easier LA EDM events to sell your friends on: everybody already knows the words. The next night Catch One switches gears completely for a trap and bass bill, and you can find more EDM Los Angeles listings on our category page, or browse everything else happening around Los Angeles.
