Space Yacht at Academy LA, November 27

Space Yacht is back at Academy LA on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving and a good moment to burn off the leftovers on a dance floor. For anyone tracking raves in Los Angeles, this is a low-cost way to catch a Space Yacht night without a festival-sized ticket.

What to expect

Ticketing lists the night as dance and electronic, and Space Yacht has built its name on bass-forward sets that favor heavy low end over polished radio edits. Academy LA suits that approach: a big room with a serious sound system and a floor that fills quickly once the first drops land. The listing gives a 10 PM start, so plan on a late night rather than an early-evening show.

The published price runs from $0 to $14.95. That range usually means a free or discounted tier alongside a standard advance ticket, but the ticket page is the place to confirm which tier is open when you buy. Expect the price to climb closer to the date, as it does for most club nights.

Getting there

Academy LA sits at 6021 Hollywood Blvd, a short walk from the Hollywood/Vine Metro B Line station, which makes the night easy without a car. Parking in the area fills up on weekends, so a rideshare or the train saves a long circle around the block. Bring a valid ID, since nightclub events in Hollywood are typically 21 and over; check the ticket listing for the official age policy.

If you are putting together a list of things happening in Hollywood that weekend, an early dinner on the boulevard followed by a late set at Academy is a reliable plan. For more nights like this one, the EDM in Los Angeles category page collects the upcoming calendar.
