What to expect

The billing is Space Yacht: Big Bass Ting, and the name tells you most of what you need. Expect a night that leans on bass-forward sets rather than a polished pop-dance crowd. The listing does not publish a full lineup, a set schedule or a genre breakdown, so we are not going to invent one. Check the Ticketmaster page for any announcements closer to the date.

Academy Nightclub is one of the city's established clubs for electronic music, and a club room suits this kind of night. Sound and low end are the point, and a room built for dancing is where it pays off. For anyone hunting for raves in Los Angeles that stay in a proper venue with a bar and a door policy, a 21+ club night is the more controlled version of the experience.

Practical info

The ticket listing marks this as an ages 21+ show, so bring a valid government-issued photo ID. The listing we worked from did not show a published start time or a price. The start time shown in this post's data is a placeholder, not a confirmed door time. Before you plan your evening, open the ticket page and confirm doors, set times and the current ticket price. We have not listed a price because the source did not give one.

A few sensible habits for any club night:

• Buy through the official Ticketmaster link above rather than a reseller.
• Plan your ride home before you go. Rideshare surge pricing is common when a club lets out.
• Eat beforehand, drink water, and pace yourself.
• Check the venue's own channels for bag and dress policies.

Getting there

Academy Nightclub sits in Hollywood. Parking in the area is tight and often paid, so a rideshare or a carpool with a designated driver is the easier call on a Friday. Leave extra time for arrival if you want to catch the opening sets, since club entry lines on weekends can run long.
