Tinlicker and Helsloot at The Wiltern

Tinlicker is bringing its North America 2026 run to The Wiltern on Friday, October 9, and if you like your dance music on the emotional, slow-building side, this is one of the better nights on the fall calendar. Doors open at 7pm. The show starts at 8pm. Helsloot is also on the bill.

Tinlicker is the Dutch duo of Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer. Their sound sits somewhere between melodic house and progressive: long intros, warm synth pads, and drops that feel earned rather than slammed. A lot of people found them through Anjunadeep, the label that has been home to much of their catalog.

Helsloot's name on the same bill is a nice touch. He's a fellow Dutch producer, and his collaboration with Tinlicker, "Children," became one of the tracks that pushed both of them to a much bigger audience. Nobody has promised it'll get played, but the crowd will be waiting for it.

What to expect

This isn't a sweaty warehouse set that runs until sunrise. It's a theater show, with a start time you can plan dinner around and an end that leaves room for a late train home. The Wiltern is a 1931 Art Deco theater on Wilshire with a sloped general admission floor and a balcony, so you can dance up front or sit upstairs and just listen. The sound in there is good enough that the quieter, detailed moments in this kind of music actually land.

Getting there: The Wilshire/Western Metro D Line station is right at the corner, which makes transit the easiest way in and out. Parking around Koreatown on a Friday night fills up fast, and paid lots near the venue go quickly once doors open.
