Brownies & Lemonade's Double Cross LA series lands on Sunset Boulevard this Friday, and Whipped Cream is the name on top. The night is a showcase for new electronic talent from around the world, and it runs across two stages at Los Globos, one of Silver Lake's longest-running rooms for dance music.

If you are looking for LA events this weekend that go past midnight and stay interesting, this is a strong candidate.

When: Friday, Oct 16, 9 PM to 2 AM Where: Los Globos, 3040 W Sunset Blvd, Silver Lake Price: $22 in advance via DICE Ages: 18+

The lineup

Whipped Cream, the bass and trap producer, anchors the bill. Around that headliner the poster stacks Tye Turner, a Karan! b2b Dabow pairing, a Lizdek b2b Ailow set and Martha, with several of those acts flagged as LA debuts. That is the part worth showing up early for: the Double Cross format exists to put unfamiliar names in front of a local crowd.

The second stage is a Dome of Doom 15th anniversary takeover. Daedelus, Tsuruda, Demonslayer and Bostn fill that bill, which leans toward the beat-scene and left-field end of the spectrum. Daedelus in particular has been a fixture of the Los Angeles beat community for years, so the anniversary programming has real history behind it.

What to expect

Two rooms means you can move between heavier bass and more experimental sets without leaving the building. Expect a mix of club music, trap and bass in the main room, and a looser, more producer-focused crowd in the Dome of Doom space. For anyone tracking EDM in Los Angeles this fall, the combination of a touring headliner and a local anniversary party is the kind of double bill that does not come around every weekend.

Getting there

Los Globos sits on Sunset Boulevard near the Sunset Junction stretch of Silver Lake, with rideshare drop-offs the easiest option on a Friday night. Street parking nearby fills up and is restricted in places, so read the signs carefully. The event is 18+, so bring a valid ID, and advance tickets are $22 through DICE. Prices at the door, if any remain, are not listed, so buying ahead is the safer plan.

The doors-to-close window runs until 2 AM, so plan your ride home before you arrive. More nights like this are collected on our EDM page and across the Silver Lake listings.
