The LAUSD Division of Special Education holds the North region stop of its second annual Family Resource Fair on Saturday, October 17, from 9am to 1pm at Richard E. Byrd Middle School, 8501 Arleta Ave in Sun Valley.
Families can meet district teams, community partners and service providers and learn about resources, supports and tools for learning at home. The fair also offers workshops for parents on strategies to support students at home. All family members are welcome, and there's no cost.
Who it's for
The fair is open to families of students in LAUSD special education programs and to any family member who wants to come, not only parents. LAUSD describes it as the division's second annual fair, built around parent workshops, information from district departments and tables from community partners. It runs four hours on a Saturday morning so working families can attend.
