Fairplex has been turning its Pomona grounds into a Bavarian beer hall every fall for twelve years, and this weekend is the last chance to catch it. The final Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17, close out a run that started October 2. If you're sorting through things to do in Los Angeles County this week and want something with steins and a band, this one is worth the drive east.
When: Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026, 6 to 11 p.m. Where: Fairplex, 1101 W McKinley Ave, Pomona, CA 91768 Price: Advanced tickets start at $17 Ages: 21+ only
What to expect
The format is simple: multiple beer gardens, German beers, hearty food, and live music running through the evening. Fairplex lists tribute bands and a DJ on the entertainment bill, plus a beer stein contest for anyone who shows up in full costume spirit. Fairplex's own invitation is to grab your lederhosen and dirndls.
The closing weekend's headliner is Red Hot Cholo Peppers, a band that mixes funk, rock and a Chili Peppers sound for the Pomona crowd. They play both nights, October 16 and 17.
Food leans German: brats and other hearty plates, with sweet treats and craft beers alongside authentic German beers. Fairplex also sells a stein bundle that combines single-day admission, an Oktoberfest stein and your first pour, listed at $30 for Friday and $35 for Saturday while supplies last.
Practical info
This is a 21+ event, so leave the kids and younger friends at home. Tickets bought in advance start at $17, and the venue's own page has the full admission, parking and entry details. Doors-time crowds are likeliest on a weekend night, so arriving close to 6 p.m. is the simplest plan.
Pomona sits well east of downtown, so plan your ride home before the first pour. A designated driver or a rideshare is the sensible call, and Fairplex has a hotel and lodging page for anyone who wants to make a night of it.
If you're checking LA events this weekend, Oktoberfest at Fairplex is one of the few remaining chances to get a proper beer-garden night before the season turns. Confirm times and ticket tiers on the official Fairplex page before you go.
