LOQUI is closing out its first-ever collaboration series right where a lot of Angelenos first fell for the brand: the Playa Vista counter. Fresh off a 10-year anniversary in Los Angeles, LOQUI spent a month running LOQUI y Amigos, a rotating lineup of limited-time dishes made with other LA kitchens it respects. The Playa Vista send-off on October 16 is the last stop, and it brings in two outside names for one day only rather than a whole week of specials like the earlier drops did.

What's on the menu

The headline item is a Pork Adobada Pie from Pizza Ananda, a mash-up that takes LOQUI's adobada pork and drops it onto a crust instead of a tortilla. Alongside it: a churro cruller donut from Nyletta, the French pastry shop known for laminated dough done its own way. Both are one-day-only items tied to this specific stop in the series, not additions to LOQUI's regular menu. The earlier legs of LOQUI y Amigos brought Fly By Jing to LOQUI La Brea for a chili crisp chicken bowl and a chili crisp guava quesadilla, and Woon's SideWok Party landed wok-fired carne asada tacos at both the Filipinotown pop-up and the Arts District location. The series itself opened September 15 with a new permanent menu item, the Adobo Verde Chicken Taco, rolled out across every LOQUI location, so the October 16 event caps a run that's been building since the middle of September.

For anyone tracking LA food festivals and one-off pop-up collaborations rather than ticketed food halls, this is the low-key version: no wristband, no lineup of vendor tents, just a taco counter running two guest dishes for a day. It's the kind of thing that quietly makes the list of things to do in Los Angeles this weekend for anyone who already has LOQUI in their regular rotation, and a good excuse to try it for the first time if you don't.

Getting there

LOQUI's Playa Vista location sits at 12751 Millennium Dr, in the retail strip near the Runway Playa Vista shops. Parking is available on-site, and the space keeps LOQUI's usual counter-service setup: order at the register, grab a number, and the two special items should be up on the board alongside the regular menu for the day. Since this is a single walk-in service window rather than a ticketed slot, arriving earlier in the day is the safer bet if the pork adobada pie or the churro cruller donut turn out to be limited-run.

Check LOQUI's own site for hours and any last-minute changes before heading over.
